An important aspect for this business model is that they should be able to monitor the energy consumption of the heating system at all the times. Another important parameter of the heat pump system to be monitored is Coefficient of Performance (COP). COP is the ratio between amount of thermal energy delivered against the amount of thermal energy consumed by the system. It is an important measure that defines the efficiency of the system. The system parameters that are required to calculate the COP of the system are such as inlet temperature, outlet temperature, outlet flow & the energy consumed by the heating system.
For the measurement of energy & the COP of the heat pump system, the critical parameters to be monitored and diagnosed analytically are Inlet Temperature, Outlet Temperature, Outlet Water Flow and Energy Consumption.
