PTC announced that the Oshkosh Defense Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) will be on display at this year’s LiveWorx digital transformation event in Boston, MA, from June 10-13.
The JLTV fills a critical capability gap for the U.S. Army and Marine Corps by replacing a large portion of the legacy uparmored HMMWV fleet with a modern light tactical vehicle. The JLTV provides MRAP-level protection while delivering best-in-class off-road mobility in a highly transportable package.
Oshkosh Defense’s presence at LiveWorx is designed to demonstrate how Oshkosh and PTC are collaborating on the next generation of technologies, such as Augmented Reality (AR) and the Industrial Internet of Things (IloT), which may be used by maintainers of the future to keep these lifesaving vehicles at maximum levels of readiness.
“PTC is pushing the boundaries of innovation with this technology,” said Hillary Ashton, EVP and GM of PTC’s AR business Unit. “Augmented Reality is core to PTC’s overall strategy and working with strategic customers such as Oshkosh Defense allows us to demonstrate real world use cases that are aligned with their end customer’s needs. AR is redefining the way we deliver training and job instruction and our next-generation of military maintainers need this technology.”
LiveWorx is the definitive event for digital transformation for the enterprise. Attendees experience the most innovative and disruptive technologies — Virtual, Mixed and Augmented Reality, Robotics, IIoT, Industry 4.0, Digital Engineering and more. Over 6,500 technologists are expected to attend LiveWorx from June 10-13, 2019. Learn more about the eventhere.
