Andy Lowery is co-founder and CEO of RealWear®, makers of the HMT-1® device, the first industrial head-mounted computer. He has served at the forefront of engineering and operational management in some of the world’s most demanding industrial,defense and manufacturing environments making him an authority on the application of technology in industry.Prior to RealWear, Andy held the position of Chief Engineer for Raytheon’s Electronic Warfare Systems business where, under his leadership, he won the U.S. Navy’s Next Generation Jammer competition, a program worth an estimated $8 billion. While atRaytheon, Andy co-founded Daqri and after receiving funding, served as the President where he led their transformation into a world leading industrial augmented reality hardware and software corporation.Before joining Raytheon, Andy served as general manager at M/ACOM Technology Solutions, where he led a commercial electronics product line. He is a retired Lieutenant Commander having served 26 years in the U.S. Navy in a variety of active andreserve roles, ending his active service as the Nuclear Reactor Electrical Assistant on board the USS JOHN C STENNIS (CVN-74). Andy graduated with Highest Honors from the University ofIllinois with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Andy is a popular and dynamic speaker and expert on augmented reality and wearable devices, and has been quoted in Wall Street Journal, Reuters, TechCrunch and other prestigious journals.
