Manager - Business Analysis and Organizational Change Management, Valmont Industries
I have had the unique opportunity to build an exciting career out of two topics I'm fascinated by - human behavior and organizational development. Marrying these two important concepts, and mixing in a healthy dose of strategy sets the stage for a more widely adopted implementation, and better overall results. I began my career as a high school Special Education teacher, where the stakes for reaching people where they are has never been higher. Teaching a variety of students, from those with low levels of cognitive function to those struggling to read at grade level, was an exercise in understanding the most basic levels of human learning and motivation. I have carried the lessons learned from my days as an educator forward into every subsequent position, project, and experience. After leaving public education, I earned my certification in (Organizational) Change Management, where the doors to the rest of my career were opened. I have served as an Organizational Change Management practitioner/leader and Business Analyst at companies such as NMC, Inc., Union Pacific Railroad and The Scoular Company, before advancing my career at Valmont, Industries, Inc.
I earned both my Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Nebraska and hold a Prosci certification in Organizational Change Management. In my personal time, I enjoy traveling to any destination with a beach accompanied by my husband Jeremy and two boys Teagan and Maddox. More often than not, you'll find us all matside at local, regional, and national wrestling tournaments. Our boys are avid wrestlers in all three styles, and my husband and I are USAW Bronze Certified wrestling coaches!
