PL1050CA - Success Metrics Driven by PLM: Vaillant Group’s Digital Transformation

The Vaillant Group, a global market and technology leader in the field of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) technologies, took a long-term approach to digital transformation for the management of product lifecycle with PTC Windchill which is connected to SAP with a multi-layer interface. Key milestones of their eight-year PLM roadmap have been met, including functionalities that create and manage parts, BOMs, and documents in Windchill; enable product releases and change management; manage product compliance/sustainability; track product maturity; enrich SAP views through workflows and phase out products at EOL.

Attend this session to learn how Vaillant Group measures the added value - reduction of process runtime, reduction of rework, and improvement of process and product data quality - from these digital technologies. The long-term PLM roadmap, the current implementation status, and the actual measured digital transformation performance indicators will be presented. PLM-supported requirements and systems engineering as future-oriented procedures will be touched on as well as MBSE process first-steps which are currently being defined and implemented.
