Suchana Akter Jahan
Graduate Research Assistant, Purdue University
I am a PhD student in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. My research interest lies in Design for manufacturing, Optimization and Additive Manufacturing. I am originally from Bangladesh and I came to the United States in 2014 for my MS degree. Since then I have been working to implement additive manufacturing in traditional industrial processes. I am someone who likes to think from the industry perspective and apply my expertise in design to obtain a practical, efficient and user friendly solution.
Tell Us Something Interesting:
I am currently working in design of injection molding tools with the use of additive manufacturing. We are trying to redesign the existing tools with better cooling performance, and longer life cycle, in addition to lower life cycle cost!
