PD1533CA - Don't Get Caught in Quicksand: Optimizing Setup and Data Creation for MBD

The presenters of this session have been supporting the implementation of MBD at Raytheon for over four years. An upgrade to a later version of Creo Parametric allowed them to take advantage of the significant improvements introduced by PTC related to MBD and standards compliance. Version upgrades at Raytheon are always vetted with SPR reviews, evaluation of new and updated configuration options, and regression testing. Presenters will share some of the more interesting and confusing options related to MBD, GD&T, and other standards; all of which have required testing to fully understand. Additionally, the session will explore some of the modeling methods that have resulted in improved performance and a reduction in the time to publish complex MBD designs, which in turn has fostered success across multiple programs.
