PL1398B - Custom Windchill License Reports Using Power BI

Estimating Windchill license quantities can be difficult with the out-of-the-box reporting from PTC within Windchill. In this session, we will look at custom Power BI reports created by Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab to easily track the current usage and report historical usage of Windchill licenses. These reports show currently allocated licenses and historical, activity-based usage of licenses for the PTC Windchill PDMLink product (e.g. Advanced, Base, Contribute, View). In addition to sharing the reports, this presentation will share step-by-step instructions (e.g. connection, SQL statements, visualizations) within the free Power BI Desktop software to assist Windchill admins with creating their own license/ activity reports.
