Session Track: Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)

Wednesday, May 17 10:15 am – 10:45 am General Session | Hall B

Extending The Value of the Digital Thread with ALM, IIoT, and AR

The pressure to develop high-quality, differentiated products faster and more efficiently with optimized customer experiences is compelling companies in many industries to pursue a digital thread strategy. The digital thread brings together siloed departments, suppliers, and customers to deliver up-to-date product and process information, capture real-time insights, and enables closed-loop feedback across the value chain. While early concepts focused on PLM, now Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) enables systems and software-driven product innovation, the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) makes it possible to collect data on products in the field, and Augmented Reality (AR) digitally empowers front-line workers along the digital thread. Join this session to learn how PTC customers are expanding the value of the digital thread.
