PL1403C - How Lockheed Martin streamlined their Digital Thread with Zuken & PTC

Lockheed Martin faced challenges managing design data to meet product requirements and schedules. This required Engineering Data Management (EDM) systems with integration into Windchill (PLM) enterprise systems. The requirements of design data management are different between EDM and PLM. An EDM system provides discipline-specific functions and data granularity to match the needs of electrical engineering. Using PTC’s REST API, electrical design data is managed throughout the extended product lifecycle. This presentation will demonstrate how Lockheed Martin utilized Zuken’s DS-2 for work in progress engineering data management and the PTC Windchill REST API interface features to streamline their electronic and electrical design processes and integrate them into the enterprise eco-system.
