PROFILE Helmut Huprich is Head of Engineering Applications in Corporate R&D/Engineering IT & Digitalization at Schaeffler. He is responsible for the PLM, ALM and Engineering Design platforms. He has been with Schaeffler since 2002 and has held various positions as a product developer and program manager for efficiency improvement projects in research and development. Prior to his current role, he was Head of Engineering Processes and Methods responsible for the design of processes and methods. He has more than 20 years of experience in product development, product lifecycle management and their IT platforms. Before joining Schaeffler, he managed a tool shop for injection molds incl. design department for several years. CURRENT Mr. Huprich works on the integration of IT systems for developers in an end-to-end solution called Engineering Workplace. Here, a holistic R&D data model and an integrated IT-architecture forms the basis to provide further functionalities and automations for development tasks.
