Josef Schneider, Vice President Integrated Product Data Management BMW Group (iPDM) and overall project manager of the iPDM project, is responsible for the digital transformation of the BMW data backbone and the digital twin of the BMW products. He has 20+ years of experience in the fields of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), CAD, Configuration Management, Process Management, Change Management, Interfaces, Software Design and Supplier Collaboration. In previous functions at BMW, Josef e.g. was responsible for engineering change management, established and was responsible for a BMW Group wide governance model for product master data, introduced a generic product structure across all areas of the BMW Group for cars, powertrains and motorcycles and was one of the pioneers of agile transformation in process and IT development.
