II1206B - Critical Considerations: Starting a Smart Connected Products (SCP) Program

The Internet of Things has reached a maturity level bringing new interest from small and mid-size equipment manufacturers looking to use IoT for product differentiation or operational efficiencies. The success of larger companies and consumer IoT makes it look easy, but there are many potential stumbling blocks for companies that have not fully considered the strategic, financial, and technical aspects of a new SCP program.
