PL1881B - NASA's Digital Engineering Transformation

As National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) takes on more ambitious and complex science and exploration missions it is an imperative for the Agency to collaborate effectively with both domestic industry and international partners. Hence, the Agency must accelerate its use of integrated Digital Engineering (DE) including Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE). This presentation outlines NASA’s journey in understanding what Digital Engineering Transformation portends for its spaceflight portfolio, the benefits of this transformation, and the requisite strategy that NASA needs to implement to realize the benefits and capabilities.
